Date: 30 August > 2 September 2020The project ”ORIENT/OCCIDENT” was born with the idea of meeting and sharing among
composers of various nationalities and age, on the common theme of meeting between the
world of the Eastern contemporary music and the Western culture. The Competition will be
made possible through one of the most renowned orchestras in Eastern Europe.
KLKnewmusic annunces the winners of “Orient / Occident” Competition Composers 2020
1 prize : Not assigned;
2 prize : Amr Okba – A Journey to the Afterlife – for soprano and orchestra;
3 prize : Guven Cem – Journey to the Dream Planet – for orchestra.
Special mention : Brian Field – Tres canciones de amor – for soprano and chamber orchestra
