The Canto & Orchestra Project was born from a consolidated experience of Klknewmusic, international organization promoting for years now important events such as competitions, masterclasses, conferences, with some of the most famous musicians in the world. The project will be located in Lviv (Ukraine), at the headquarters of the Philharmonia in cooperation with the KLK Symphony Orchestra and the teacher, the Sud Corean soprano Hyo Soon Lee, internationally renowned. The main objective of the event is to give the opportunity to the singer selected to deal with the opera repertory, especially italian opera, from classicism to the twentieth century, with lessons, rehearsals, and final concert in the Philharmonia Orchestra with recording audio video professional.

The singers participants will have the opportunity to make individual lessons with the teacher and with the KLK Symphony Orchestra rehearsals, with final concert on 31 a March 2018 and the conducting of M° Ferdinando Nazzaro.
For the Masterclass will be selected a maximum of 10 students with no age limit.
Please send the application form to info@klknewmusic.com no later than 20 February 2018; you can also specify some video links about your last performances. The selected students will be notified by email no later than February 23, 2018.
Regarding the final concert, Prof. Lee, in accordance with M° Nazzaro and artistic direction of the Philharmonia, decide together the best singers for public concert. In any case, all participants admitted to the Masterclass will have the chance to sing one or two arias of the concert with professional recording audio / video.
Canto & Orchestra 2018 – PROGRAM
Participants must indicate in the application form at least 2 arias from the repertory who wish to study with Hyo Soon Lee and perform in the final concert in Philharmonia with orchestra, chosen in the repertory of the classical romantic period. In anycase every aria written in the twenty century can be performed just if it will be the avaibility of the orchestral parts.
TUITION FEE
The tuition fee for all actives participants is : € 650 (euro 650).

The TUITION FEE includes :
– Lessons with M° Hyo Soon Lee with piano from 26 to 29 March 2018;
– Rehearsals and final concert with orchestra, from 29 to 31 March 2018;
– Creation of a professional DVD during final concerts;
– Certificate of participation by Lviv Philharmonic Society.
The tuition fee does not include:
– accomodation, food and flight.
KLKnewmusic is still available for rental apartments in the city center 5 minutes from the Philharmonia, the price of 15 € a day in double room, 25 € in single room.

HYO SOON LEE
Soprano
Hyo Soon Lee was born in Hong Seong (South Korea) in 1971. She graduated in Singing at the “Chong Nam National University” in Daejon. After that, she went to Italy to take master classes with Luciana Serra in Milano, Margareth Baker in Sulmona, Teresa Rocchino e Giovanna Di Rocco in “Arts Academy” in Rome.
In 1999 she obtained a Summa cum lauda and Special Honours Singing Diploma from the State Music Conservatory “L. D’Annunzio” in Pescara, under the tutelage of Maria Luisa Carboni. She also received Fellowship Diploma in Vocal Chamber Music from the “National College of Music and Arts” in London (U.K.). After that, she obtained the Singing Teacher Diploma from the State Music Conservatory “A. Boito” in Parma.
In October 2000 she won the 1st prize at the “International Competition for Contemporary Music” in Subiaco; in November 2000 she won the 3rd prize at the “F. Cilea” International Singing Competition in Reggio Calabria.
She is well know for her performances on XX Century opera, as Zerbinetta in “Ariadne auf Naxos” by R. Strauss and Cunegonde in “Candide” by L. Bernstein.
She also is well known for Italian, German, Spanish and French Vocal Chamber Music, and for Contemporary Music.
She sings all over the world, and for her voice and technique every concert is a big personal success.
Moreover, she is professor in the State Conservatory of Music “Ottorino Respighi” in Latina and the “Scientia et Ars” Polytechnic in Rome.
