Alfred Schnittke Competition Composers 2018 – 3rd edition

KLKnewmusic announces the final resul of Alfred Schnittke Competition Composers 2018 :

1 Prize : Jorge Luis Ferrari – “Concertino classico”  for piano and string orchestra;

2 prize : Marius Alexander Diaz Moreno – “Adios a Las Armas” for string orchestra;

3 Prize : Mario Cunha Olinto Filho – “Valsa singela” – for string orchestra;

3 Prize : Satoru Ikeda – “Superstring Theory” –  for piano, vibraphone, marimba and string orchestra.

The list of composers selected for the finals is published in alphabetical order as follows:

Jorge Luis Ferrari : “Concertino classico” – for piano and string orchestra

Mario Cunha Olinto Filho : “Valsa singela” – for strings orchestra

Satoru Ikeda : “Superstring Theory” – for piano, vibraphone, marimba and strings

Minji Kim : “Full Moon” – for piano, percussion, and string ensemble

Ryuji Kubota : “Stein / Stern III” – for piano, percussions and strings orchestra

Marius Alexander Diaz Moreno: “Adios a Las Armas” – for string orchestra

Tobias Naumann: “Movement” – for string orchestra

Ye Zhao : “Elegy” – for string orchestra.

The Canto & Orchestra Project was born from a consolidated experience of Klknewmusic, international organization promoting for years now important events such as competitions, masterclasses, conferences, with some of the most famous musicians in the world. The project will be located in Lviv (Ukraine), at the headquarters of the Philharmonia in cooperation with the KLK Symphony Orchestra and the teacher, the Sud Corean soprano Hyo Soon Lee, internationally renowned. The main objective of the event is to give the opportunity to the singer selected to deal with the opera repertory, especially italian opera, from classicism to the twentieth century, with lessons, rehearsals, and final concert in the Philharmonia Orchestra with recording audio video professional.

The main objective of the event is to give the opportunity to pianists selected to deal with the literature of the concerto for piano and orchestra, from classicism to the twentieth century, with lessons, rehearsals, and final concert in the Philharmonia Orchestra with recording audio video professional.
